Terms of Service

Thank you for using Happy Trip. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Happy Trip mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Happy Trip ("we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, then you may not access the Service.

1. Description of Service

Happy Trip provides the following features for travelers in South Korea:

  • Location-Based Information: Information on restaurants, pharmacies, shopping malls, and attractions, integrated with Naver Map.
  • Community (Feed): Sharing travel photos, automatic location tagging, and post management.
  • Travel Utilities: Real-time currency converter (including Tax Refund), random destination picker (Roulette), and emergency contact information.
  • Paid Services: In-app purchases such as the Ad-Free feature.

2. Accounts and Registration

  • Registration: Users can sign up using an email address and password.
  • Nickname: Users must set a nickname of at least 2 characters for identification. Inappropriate nicknames may be restricted.
  • Withdrawal: Users may request account deletion at any time. Upon withdrawal, profile information is immediately deleted or rendered unrecoverable.

3. Community and Content

  • Photo Uploads: GPS information is extracted from EXIF metadata to automatically tag locations. Photos without location data may be restricted from uploading.
  • Post Management: You can delete your own posts. Deleted posts are hidden immediately but may be retained in our database for a certain period (Soft Delete) for operational or legal purposes.
  • Restrictions: Content that violates others' rights or is inappropriate (illegal, obscene, hateful) may be removed without notice, and the user may be restricted.

4. Paid Services and Refunds

  • Ad Removal: You can remove ads for a certain period through in-app purchases.
  • Refund Policy: As the "Ad Removal" feature is a digital product applied immediately, it is generally non-refundable. All payment issues follow the policies of the respective app store (Apple/Google).

5. Location Services

We use your real-time GPS coordinates to provide nearby information. This data is used only for real-time queries and is not stored or tracked on our servers permanently.

6. Third-Party Services

We use third-party services for analytics and functionality:

  • Naver Map: For navigation and location services.
  • Mixpanel: For analytics and user behavior tracking.

7. Disclaimers

Information provided (exchange rates, Tax Refund calculations, restaurant details) is for reference only. We do not guarantee accuracy and are not liable for any discrepancies during actual use.
